ELECTROTECHNICAL ROUND COPPER WIRE

Electrotechnical round copper wire (hereinafter referred to as Wire) is used to manufacture wire strands and for other electrical applications as well. The following types of Wire are available:
МТ - hard copper Wire МТЭ - hard copper Wire for enameling. MM - soft copper Wire Wire nominal diameters are given in the Table:

Wire surface is smooth, no scratches, hairlines, handling marks as well as process-induced defects exceeding diameter limit - are permitted.
Wire must not have any splicing; it is supplied on metal reels.
Tensile strength value is not less than 422 MPа for 1.7 mm Wire and not less than 400 MPа for over1.7 mm Wire. МТ Wire must stand bending test and МТЭ Wire winding one correspondingly. Relative lengthening of the wire of the mark MM not less 30 %.
Wire direct current specific resistance recalculated as for 20 °С must not exceed 0.0178*10-6 Om*m (diameter 2.44 mm) and 0,0177*10-6 Om*m (diameter over 2.44 mm).
Manufacturer guarantees Wire general properties owing to stability of the Wire drawing-process and strict control of the chemical composition of raw material (copper drawing billet, brand MKLB, grade 1 and 2 as per TU 1733-005-05774969-95).
